Age 75, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2007. Louis was born in Mt. Pleasant, MI, November 7, 1931, the son of Luigi and Rose (Vetere) Deni. He graduated High School from Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart. After serving in the Air Force during the Korean War, he attended and graduated from Central Michigan University, with a Bachelor of Science degree. He worked successfully for over 30 years in the business equipment and supplies purchasing field. Finally retiring in 1996 to constantly work on that golf game. Along with his golf leagues, he enjoyed many bowling leagues, and was an avid hunter and nature lover. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association, member of the Knights of Columbus Richard Council #788, American Legion and St. Casimir Catholic Parish. He enjoyed traveling, going to casinos, attending family members sporting events, and Notre Dame Football. He is preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Shelva; children Mike of Holt, Julie (Jim) Campbell of Lansing, Kim (Gary) Snellenberger of Lansing, Karen Hartupee (Rob Land) of Pittsburg, PA, Rick (Vola) Anderson of Lansing, Mark (Lisa) of Ithaca, grandchildren John (Sandra), Justin, Jason, Sarah, Matthew, Ashley, Andrew, Emily, Amanda, Taylor, Dylan and great grandson Jack; brothers Frank (Nancy) of Mt. Pleasant and Paul (Sharon) of Mt. Pleasant, sister Roseann Bommarito of Saginaw and many loving nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00 am at St. Casimir Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Bill Lugger as celebrant. Visitation is Tuesday 6-8 pm and Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Palmer Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel where the Rosary will be prayed Wednesday at 7:00 pm followed by the Knights of Columbus service. Visitation continues Thursday at 10:00 am at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Louis Deni.

Deni, Rita Ann; 82; of Mt. Pleasant; passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015, at Woodland Hospice, surrounded by her family.

A Funeral Mass for Rita will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Thomas Held presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at Sacred Heart Parish Hall.

The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. with the rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Wednesday one hour prior to Mass.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Academy Foundation or Woodland Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Rita was born December 24, 1932, in Mt. Pleasant, daughter of the late Edward and Clara (Schohl) Voisin. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1950 as the class valedictorian. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Parish and a member of the Catholic Daughters. She retired from the Central Michigan University music department after 30 plus years. She enjoyed reading, traveling with her sisters, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Rita is survived by four children, Mike Deni of Holt, Julie (Jim) Campbell of Lansing, Karen (Rob Land) Hartupee of Pittsburgh, PA, and Mark (Lisa) Deni of Ithaca; grandchildren, John (Heidi), Justin (Diana), Matthew (Brittany), Andrew, Taylor, and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Jack, Brooks, and Christian; sister, Dorothy (Jerry) Sheahan of Mt. Pleasant; sister-in-law, Kathleen Voisin of Mt. Pleasant; and many nieces and nephews.
