Sacred Heart Academy Class of '43

Ten years after their graduation from Sacred Heart Academy, alumni gathered at the Hotel Chieftan for dinner recently to talk of old times, and discovered many changes had tken place. Of the 28 graduates, 21 were able to attend with their families or a guest.

Members of the class, pictured left to tight [right] (seated) are Mrs. John Graham of Mt. Pleasant (Mary Donna O'Brien); Mrs. James brisbois of Saginaw (Kathleen Harrigan); Miss Betty Louise Smith of Owosso; Mrs. Robert Fitzpatrick of Mt. Pleasant (Dorothy Verway).

Miss Frances Ann Strause of Bridgeport; Mrs Nick Jabour of Clare (Jean McFarlane); Charles Johnson of Weidman (Betty Jean Powell); and Mrs. Harold Knight of Bay City (Mary Edwardene Clare).

Standing left to right are Jack Voisin, John Swetz, Andy Cascarelli, Dick Lynch of Great Lakes Naval Training Station in Illinois; Paul Fortino, Robert Duffy, Joe Devine, Joe Quinlan of Flint, David O'Connor, Bill Schrot of Bloomfield Hills, Leo Voisin, John Lynch of Rosebush, and Lloyd Connors.

Unable to attend, other class menbers [members] are Pat Hackett of Detroit, Mrs. James Brady of Milwaukee, Wis., (Roberta Kane); John Brandell in Korea; Rita DuPont in Detroit; Donald McDonald in Caracas, Venezuela; Barabara Karens, now marries [married] and living in Ford City, Pa.; and Mike Brondstetter in Willow Run.

Following dinner, the group adjourned to the Knights of Columbus hall for a social evening. A buffet luncheon was served later in the evening.
