This was likely an illegitimate birth in the eyes of the Catholic Church. Anna Maria's husband was probably not Catholic and the Church did not recognize their marriage. Anna Maria eventually did officially marry Karl Hattner [I01972] on 26 October 1857. Unfortunately baby Anna died 3 July 1855. This is also indicated by the "x" or cross under her name in this record. Therefore she was never officially legitimized as Anna Hattner before she died.
